My Life Project

This project was by far my favorite project this year. I really enjoyed looking through my old family photos and picking out my favorite music for the project. I guess it was the easiest project that I did this year in terms of finding information because I know my life, so therefore the only information I had to go searching for was the information of 1995 such as top movies and music, academy awards, and leaders. I loved putting everything together but the scanning became a little bit tedious because I had so many pictures. Trying to choose what pictures I wanted to include in my project was probably the hardest part, and thinking of a movie clip to put in was kind of a difficult choice to make.

Music Genome Project

For the music genome project I chose to do disco. I was drawn to do disco because, just before we picked in class which genre we wanted to do, I was at my aunt and uncle's house for Easter and my uncle, who is now in his fifties, was advising my younger brothers to learn how to dance because when he was a teenager he learned to disco and got all the girls. So when I got the opportunity to do disco as my music genre I jumped on it. My uncle danced disco to all the most popular disco songs back in the 70's when he was a teenager. So I wanted to do this project for him as well as my younger brothers, so as to maybe inspire them to take up my uncle's advice. I also had a lot of fun and learned a lot while doing this project. I quite enjoy the popular disco songs and movies ("Saturday Night Fever"!!)

PND Culture Group Project Part II

Our particular project on French I came out really well done in my opinion. Our interviews and information all came together great in the final movie. Our group worked really well together and from  creating the storyboard to accomplishing the entire project, our group worked really well together. We got everything done promptly and on time and we all shared a part in completing the project. Our interviews with Mrs. Rodolfi, the French I teacher, and Mrs. Johnson, the counselor that will be assisting the incoming freshmen in signing up for their desired language course, turned out great!

PND Culture Group Project

This project was great to do in my opinion. I really enjoy mentoring and I am glad to help people out, so I was excited to find out that our projects will be "helping out" the incoming freshmen in a way by getting acquainted with PND and the activities we offer here. I also really enjoyed this project for the fact that we were able to work in groups. I really love to work with new people and have input and get fresh ideas from other people. All around I found this project to be a really good idea and quite fun for me!

Podcast

I decided to do my podcast project on The Princess Bride because it is one of my all time favorite movies and I know it like the back of my hand. I had previously read the book and then watched the movie for the first time in several years just about a year ago, and I feel in love with the movie all over again, as it had been one of my favorite movies to watch at my neighbor's house when I was younger. I hadn't worked much with Garageband before this podcast project but I felt that it was generally pretty easy to navigate and figure out. I thought this was a fun project because we got to talk about some of our favorite things.

Storyboard

The storyboard, I found, was a relatively easy project. It was easy for the fact that I had my group members so the tasks were all split evenly in creating our storyboard. Also, I have worked in Google Docs before so I found it generally pretty easy in navigating through all the tools I needed to make the storyboard. I personally was assigned to finding pictures on the internet and putting them on to the slideshow. I also put together the works cited page. I thought our group got a very good start in putting together what we plan on putting in to our project. Some of the slides didn't turn up as I thought they would put it all looked pretty good for the draft.

My Name Project

This project was a lot of fun to do because I got to explore and share all the things that I like to do and all of my favorite things. I also found it fun because finding pictures of objects in nonrepresentational ways. It was a bit of a challenge to find the letters of my name and then I got to play around with them in Iphoto and changing up all the effects and colorings of the pictures. Then, one of my favorite parts was adding the song of our choice and I of course chose one of my favorite songs. I also enjoyed that I got to put in pictures of my friends and me. I love to look back at all the pictures of my friends and me because there is always a story to go along with every picture and so it brings back the memories of the times I was with my friends on that particular day.
